Abstract

This paper presents a perspective on the opportunistic use of radio spectrum, seeking the optimal use of this resource thanks to technological developments. To this end, this paper aims to define a methodology to implement a pilot of opportunistic spectrum usage in Colombia, based on the analysis of the international experiences, regulation and standardization. Furthermore, this paper analyses the possible use of TV White Spaces in the UHF band in Colombia.
