            Abstract :
This study proposes a comparative analysis between the performances of the star windings and open-end stator windings of the synchronous machines with wound rotor without damper windings. The advantages of the open-end stator windings at the level of the THD voltage and the torque undulation are presented It is shown that the novel dual open-end stator windings synchronous machine has significant benefit at the level of the power segmentation is shown.
