Abstract :
This paper is focused on the influence of orography on the formation of convective precipitation in the Zlín Region. The radar and station measurement data was used for analysis of convection orographic. The first part of this paper describes the theory of radar measurement of atmospheric precipitation and principles of orographic effects, including a description of the orography of the Zlín Region. The second part of this paper analyzes two rainfall situations in the southeast airflow, which often occurred in the period April-September 2014. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the impact of certain orographic effects on the formation and evolution of convective precipitation using two analyzed situations. The fundamental knowledge will be used for the design of a forecast system of convective precipitation for crisis management of the Zlín Region.
