  • Abstract
The contribution analyzes the mutual interaction between leading parts of projectile - discarding sabot segments of the projectiles type 3BM-9, 3BM-12 and 3BM-15 (all of APFSDS design) - and leading part of the barrel bore in order to prove the hypothesis of the unusual barrel bore wear profile development by the turning of the discarding sabot segments. Analysis focuses the projectile travel from the beginning of the movement to the point of maximal ballistic pressure.
