Abstract
The paper presents possible use of composite structures to improve ballistic protection of military vehicles. There are three different composite armors created in the LS-Dyna software package and their ballistic performance was compared against a sub-caliber round. For comparison also homogeneous armor is modeled to explicate the efficiency of the composite armors.
