Abstract :
In Ad hoc networks, there is no central infrastructure but it allows mobile devices to establish communication path. Since, there is no central infrastructure and mobile devices are moving randomly, gives rise to various kinds of problems, such as security and routing. Here the problem of routing will be considered. In this work, a new Route Selection Technique for AODV will be proposed that selects the route on the basis of speed of intermediate nodes. The performance of this new technique is compared with the performance of Intelligent AODV (IAODV). IAODV uses RSSI values to find a route between source and destination. In this mechanism, the nodes moving with minimum speed will be selected to route data from source to the destination.
