Abstract :
This paper aims to propose a new self-decelerating PM in-wheel motor topology, and optimized the motor dimension parameters by using an intelligent algorithm: differential evolution (DE). Both loss and thermal analysis are conducted on the optimized motor so as to fully reveal the motor performances.
