Abstract :
Transverse Flux Permanent Magnet Motor (TFPM) was first introduced in the 1980´s, it has a great potentiality in direct drive area for its low-speed-high-torque capability and high torque density. However, the larger cogging torque and flux leakage have restricted its popularization and practical utilization.
