Abstract :
Cross-coupling inductances characteristics with mover position and current excitations for multi-segments PM linear motor have been investigated. For cross-coupling inductance with current excitations, a series of locked mover tests with rated-frequency voltage are carried out. The sine-wave voltage source is used to avoid instability of square-wave voltage source in large-inductance windings. Moreover, the cross-coupling inductance with mover position are examined quantitatively by the acquisition of asymmetrical phase inductances, which are of great significance to establish accurate mathematical model.
