Abstract :
The basic magnetic properties of patterned magnetic film have been attracting much interests due to their potential applications in magnetic random access memory (MRAM) and ultrahigh-density data storage devices. Their magnetic properties closely depend on the size, shape and inter-element interactions, which have been reported extensively in the past 20 years. However, their researches basically focused on the collective properties of array, instead of individual element in array. Meanwhile, a definite and general conclusion on magnetic behaviors of elements with shape anisotropy and dipolar interaction is seldom seen before, which is important for high-density patterned media. The micro-magnetic calculation is a convenient approach for fast research on magnetic behaviors of array and its superiority of three dimensional (3D) mode provides possibility for simulation of individual nano-magnetic element in array.
