  • Abstract
Working as an important part in the modern electronic system, Y3Fe5O12 (YIG) is widely used in the fabrication of microwave devices because of its narrow line width. Since its discovery, doped YIG has been studied to satisfy all kinds of applications such as circulators, gyrators, phase shifters and filters. Early studies demonstrate that different ions in Fe3+ ion substitution have different impacts on electromagnetic properties including saturation magnetization (Ms) and dielectric loss tangent (tanδ), which are of great significance for the tunability and performance of the microwave filters. In this paper, we aim to investigate the electromagnetic properties of Al3+ and Mn2+ co-doped YIG in order to meet the design of magnetically tunable filters.
