Abstract :
In this paper, we investigate the switching property of perpendicular media in microwave-assisted magnetic recording by utilizing micromagnetic modeling, in which circularly polarized magnetic field at microwave frequencies is applied. This paper presents understanding of the switching dependence on the inter-granular exchange coupling field and the distribution of anisotropy field. The result shows that the wider window of switching AC-field frequency can be reached when the media in MAMR is with appropriate inter-granular exchange coupling and the distribution of anisotropy field.
