Abstract :
This paper described the method to estimate the track width induced spacing loss at different fly height (FH) by writing DC tracks of different track widths, calculating the read-back amplitudes and finally deriving the FHdelta using the Wallace equation. The results showed that the spacing loss is indeed more significant at smaller track widths .
