Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to investigate an efficient iron loss analysis method and a practical magnetic property measurement scheme under extreme excitation. The iron loss is mainly dependent on the excitation level and complexity of magnetic structure. Modeling results show that the loss in the exciting coils with extreme excitation can be accurately calculated based on the 3-D eddy current field solution. An upgraded TEAM (Testing Electromagnetic Analysis Methods) benchmark model is used to validate the results.
