Abstract :
Magnetic and optical properties of a single phase Co-doped Sr2RuO4 p-type superconductor are reported in this article. A ferromagnetic instability may occur in the doping range less than 10%, which may be related to the static, short-range ferromagnetic order in Sr2RuO4. This indicates that its superconductivity is related to ferromagnetic instability. It is shown that the coupling between Co and Ru enhances the ferromagnetism which is due to exchange interactions. In-situ temperature dependence of Raman spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction studies show an unstable phase at 10-30% doping concentrations. UV-vis measurements show that the optic band increases with Co doping.
