Abstract :
This study aims to investigate the structural properties and magnetocaloric effect of La-Ce-Fe-Si compounds prepared by melt spinning and subsequent annealing at 1273 K for 10-60 min. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and energy dispersive spectrometry are used to determine the crystal structure, grain size, and composition of the alloy. Results show that the Curie temperature of the alloy increases and the maximum magnetic entropy change decreases as the annealing time increases.
