Abstract
The fixed-point harmonic-balance method is used to analyze the nonlinear eddy current problem inside laminated cores under sinusoidal and dc-biased magnetizations. Two different strategies determining the fixed-point reluctivity, the globally convergence algorithm and the locally convergence algorithm, are presented to guarantee the convergence of solutions in harmonic domain. Results show that the locally convergence algorithm solves the nonlinear magnetic field more stably and efficiently than the globally convergence algorithm.
