Abstract
Diesel-generator station BS1® (Blackout Station) is especially designed for installation in nuclear power plants as electricity source for the primary circle circuits during the failure of the power plant internal power system and during the loss of all available electricity supply sources. It is installed in special seismic resistant container. Diesel-generator with output 3200 kW is completed with cooling and fuel systems, and the circuits for electricity power output. Considering the required operating reliability, the power generator is fitted with the starting system with multiple redundancy which provides high assurance of the power generator start during exceptional event. Currently, 4 pieces are installed in nuclear power plants Temelín and Dukovany owned by the Czech Power Group ČEZ.
