Abstract :
The aim of this paper is to explore the use of particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm to optimize the design of permanent magnet couplings subject to several key design constraints. A nonlinear model is developed by support vector machine. A particle swarm optimization algorithm that has obvious capabilities in global search is finally adopted to find the optimal machine parameters. Finite element method is also employed to verify the results.
