            Abstract : 
The MLD model can be created by HYSDEL toolbox automatically. It provides great convenience for the MLD research. But the number of binary variables, auxiliary continuous variables and inequality constraints in the MLD model cannot satisfy our requirements. In this paper, we proposed three steps optimization to optimize the model parameters. It can effectively reduce the amount of binary variables, auxiliary continuous variables and inequality constraints in that MLD model established by HYSDEL. The proposed algorithm was illustrated in saturation characteristic function and promising results were achieved.
