Abstract :
Wind acting on ear of wheat is separated into mean wind and fluctuating wind in this paper. Total effect of the wind direction is a linear combination on the effect of the average wind and the effect of fluctuating wind in downwind direction. By utilizing a typical power spectral density of Davenport horizontal wind speed in fluctuating wind, downwind movement model of wheat is constructed. Based on random vibration theory to solve equations, displacement response of wheat is obtained. Lodging bending moments produced by wind on the bottom of the wheat are also calculated further.
