Abstract :
This paper deals with a proposal of an autonomous monitoring unit of vibration overload. This autonomous unit will be used for a monitoring of the motor-generator system in our lab. There was an accident of the tested system in the past and the connection shaft was destroyed due to an unsuitable overloading of the tested system. Several hours before accident the significant mechanical vibrations were observed. This emergency operation could damage other parts of motor-generator system in our lab. Main idea of our development is design of autonomous monitoring unit for alerting of overload operations with significant mechanical vibrations. The energy harvesting method can be used for autonomous powering of this monitoring unit and wireless vibration sensor is connected. The signal of an overloading condition is transmitted to the control panel.
