Abstract :
Aim of the investigation is to evaluate amplitude and shape of voltages and currents on SPD installed at the point of entry of the power low voltage line into a structure, due to nearby lightning (source of damage S4 according to IEC 62305 standard). Evaluation of such currents, charges and voltages at this point allows the dimensioning of SPD able to protect the internal equipment with a given probability.
