Abstract :
A medium power induction motor (IM), of 45kW, is under study and the main results in terms of noise and vibrations are presented here. Several operating conditions will be verified as well as their influence on the structural behavior of the IM. The IM is considered to be capable to assure the propulsion of an electric car, which involves specific constraints. Thus, the tests were performed on a driving cycle and the main measurements are depicted here to prove the noise and vibration behavior of the studied motor.
