Abstract :
This paper presents a method for the estimation of frequencies of spectral components in electric signals. Spectral components are an important factor for the estimation of power quality, i.e. Total Harmonic Distortion THD value. Parameters of very common switching transients were determined and analyzed using the MUSIC algorithm, representing a parametric method. Proposed method enabled accurate estimation of spectral components of simulated and measured power system signals, even in the presence of noise.
