  • Abstract
Based on blue light-sensitive interfacial fullerene/4, 4\´, 4"-tris {N,-(3-methylphenyl)-N-phenylamino} triphenylamine ( C60/m-MTDATA) heterojunction organic photodiode (OPD) and deep blue organic light-emitting diode (462 nm), a high-performance organic optocoupler (OOC) was developed. The OOC behaved a maximum photoresponse of 130 mA/W at 6 V OPD bias, which could be markedly higher than some commerical inorganic optocouplers. We believed the high performance of the OPD and OOC was mainly attributed to the selection of high-mobility materials, proper matching of energy levels, and large energy level offset (2.6 eV) at C60/m-MTDATA interface. The maximum light/dark current ratio and current transfer ratio (CTR) of 5×104 and 0.82% were achieved, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, the CTR is almost the highest reported in OOCs and this sort of OOC could be used for commercial applications.
