Abstract :
Topologies of VSC based MTDC system has been reconnoitered. A Novel two wind farms and one platform (2WF-1PF) topology has been proposed. MTDC link topologies have been analyzed and likened based on techno-economic criteria´s: number of HVDC circuit breakers, length and capacity of HVDC circuits, number of offshore and onshore platforms, flexibility, redundancy and utilization of HVDC links. Technical analysis proved that 2WF-1PF is promising topology and shows economic feasibility for future HVDC grids.
