Abstract :
A concise dual D-loop antenna is proposed for near-field operations in the Ultra-High Frequency Band, which can be generated a strong and uniform magnetic field in a near-field zone of the dual-loop. For bigger reading area, the overall fabricated size of a dimension of 80 × 80 × 0.8 mm3, achieves a reading zone of 30 × 30 × 3.14 mm3 with good impedance matching and uniform magnetic field distribution over the bandwidth of 913-932 MHz. The proposed full wave dual loop antenna is suitable for handheld radio frequency identification reader, especially for water applications in the food-production chain. The reader system achieved a long transmission range with a compact size.
