Abstract :
This paper describes the time-domain measurement technique of the electromagnetic fields emitted by an electrostatic discharge using a complex antenna factor of a detecting antenna and observed waveform with an oscilloscope. A field-waveform reconstruction technique using the Fourier transform are also outlined. An application of amplitude probability distribution (APD) for ESD waveform is stated to evaluate the impact of ESD on wireless communications.
