Abstract :
This paper proposes a two-screen system configured from a TV set as the first screen and a tablet computer as the second screen. Text data sent as caption text from the TV is used to automatically create computer graphic (CG) video on the tablet computer. By employing TV program Making Language (TVML) to create the CG video from textual content, a highly efficient system has been developed for producing expressive content using minimal caption channel bandwidth. A prototype two-screen system is described that generates related video content with relatively little effort, provides a simple synchronization scheme, and supports real-time interworking between the two screens.
