Abstract :
We adopt silicon IC technologies into LED lighting and display to improve the overall efficiency and reliability of the system. In parallel, our integrated approach will also enable novel applications while decreasing system form factor and total cost of ownership with increased reliability. Our platform focuses on novel LED system designs on silicon wafers to allow for high volume manufacturing with mature Si IC technology and to leverage the cost advantages of CMOS scaling. Integration of all the components, active and passive, on a Si platform is the ultimate goal.
