Abstract :
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to Evanston and Chicago for the 2015 IEEE World Haptics Conference. This is the tenth anniversary of World Haptics, which began in Pisa, Italy in 2005 under the leadership of Massimo Bergamasco and Antonio Bicchi. In the years since, the conference has traveled to Japan, the US, Turkey, Korea, and is now back in the US. Along the way it has grown in many respects, yet the basic format of single-track technical sessions has changed little. This year´s conference, however, will feature some notable departures from previous years.
