Abstract :
Using non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma (NTAP) has been studied for killing various bacteria, cell differentiation, cancer cell treatment and so on. Bacteria and cells were co-located in our oral environment, so NTAP could be influenced for both bacteria and cells. In this study, we studied the effect of radio-frequency microwave-pulsed non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma (MWP-NTAP) for killing Staphylococcus aureus (S.aureus) which is a common oral bacteria, and at the same time we observed cellular response of fibroblast cell line L929 cells.
