Abstract :
The fabrication and performance of CeDFs using drawing tower and powder-in-tube technique are reported. The fluorescence spectrum of CeDFs exhibited a 160-nm near-Gaussian broadband emission with 41.4-dB SNR and 1.47-μm axial resolution, which was better than any other light sources to achieve axial resolution. These novel CeDFs may be functioned as a highresolution source for use in fiber optical coherence tomography applications.
