Abstract :
A slow-light modulator-integrated with 850nm-VCSEL is presented, exhibiting small signal response of over 55dB enhancement at frequencies beyond 35GHz. Also, the direct modulation bandwidth is expanded beyond 20GHz thanks to optical-feedback in the integrated device.
