Abstract :
We propose an AlGaAs-on-insulator platform for nonlinear integrated photonics. We demonstrate highly efficient four-wave mixing in a 3-mm long AlGaAs-on-insulator nano-waveguide. A conversion efficiency of -21.1 dB is obtained with only a 45-mW pump.
