Abstract :
The author notes that a closer inspection of Ref. 6 of the above-named article [ibid., vol. 54, no. 1, pp. 188-192, Feb. 2012] indicates that he misread the approximations made in Ref. 6 for the electric and magnetic polarizability dyadics of a large aperture. Therefore, several equations on pages 188 and 189 are corrected. The author maintains that these corrections do not affect equation (12), the final algebraic result of the article, do not affect the numerical results in Fig. 3, and do not have any perceptible effect on the numerical results in Fig. 2. They do not affect Fig. 2 because the original article only considered worst case incident polarization, namely the incident magnetic field parallel to the long axis of the slot.
