Abstract :
The paper deals with the development of fault tolerant control systems for technological processes which can reconfigure in order to reduce the influence of faults and prevent full failures of the process. A formal description of diagnostic symptoms of faults is proposed as well as the composition of the supervisor functions. Based on the example of the vacuum coating technology, multistage cyclic technological processes are considered from the point of view of organizing fault tolerant control systems.
