Abstract
Radiation characteristics of an axially slotted circular or elliptical antenna coated with biaxial anisotropic material are investigated theoretically. The fields in every region are expressed in terms of Mathieu functions with unknown coefficients. The boundary conditions at the conducting and dielectric surfaces are applied to obtain the unknown field expansion coefficients. Numerical results are presented graphically for the radiation pattern with various geometries and electrical parameters.
