  • Abstract
A 0.4V self-powered 96×96-pixel PWM imager is proposed and prototyped in standard 0.18μm CMOS technology. A dual-exposure extended-counting (DEEC) PWM sensor is developed to achieve a 140dB dynamic range with a boost of 53dB. The chip consumes 12.1μW at 12fps and 38.4μW at 60fps, results in an iFoM of 53.7 and 33.9 fJ/pixel.code, respectively. Optical energy harvesting (OEH) mode is implemented to generate 459mV and 3.21μW at 100klux (sunny day) and achieve a self-powered imaging at 15fps.
