Abstract
The weather early warning is an important part of the aided navigation. Development method of shipboard weather warning system is described from the aspects of system requirements, designation and implementation. Particular needs of shipboard weather warning business are introduced and system design with the combination of application of GIS and database technology is put forwarded to fulfill functions such as real time reception of meteorological information from various weather stations, detection of data processing, diagnosis analysis of meteorological elements, automatic tracking alarm and chart display. Through the matching identification of meteorological information and ship parameters, the shipboard complex weather tracking warning is realized.
