Abstract :
To ensure the safety of ships passing access channel of port, and improve the transport efficiency of the channel, ship safe speed control model is presented by analyzing influence factors. The model fully considers the channel dimensions, natural environment and ship maneuverability that impact on the ship safe speed. Finally a case study is given by combining with the specific channel and taking the bulk carrier as the research object. Therefore the ship safe speed varying with each influence factor is analyzed, and the safe speed´s range of vessels passing access channel of port is determined. The calculations are consistent with the practical operation.
