Abstract :
A triple band bowtie antenna with multiband operations for Long-Term Evolution (LTE2300/2500) and WLAN (5.8 GHz) applications is presented and studied in this paper. The antenna is designed using transmission line method; this antenna is suitable to be embedded inside the casing of the laptop computer. Three operating bands covering 2.3-2.4, and 2.5-2.69 GHz for the LTE and 5.725-5.852 GHz for WLAN systems are achieved with good radiation efficiencies. The results are simulated using TLM by advanced design system and compared with two methods: moment´s method using AGILENT and finite integration technique using CST MW Studio.
