Abstract
This article is a study which consists in conceiving a system able to detect the defaults with the electric arc which can occur in a distribution network. It is made up mainly of three sensors of current and Digital Signal Processor (DSP). The adopted approach is based on the concepts of the numerical filters. This system detects the presence of unwanted and alarming frequencies in the distribution network. These particular frequencies are generated by electrical arcs occurring in the network. The results of simulation and experimental are presented and show interesting performances of the system from point of view dynamic, and adaptability of the system to satisfy various applications.
