Abstract :
This paper presents a study of a DC-DC converter for LED lighting application fed from Solar cells during the charging mode and fed to LEDs during discharging mode. It requires only a single converter which is an integrated version of both modes. In addition, Zero Current Transition (ZCT) is achieved by using only a single auxiliary switch and hence decreasing the switching losses. It has the benefit of high efficiency and simple control. Simulation results are presented.
