Abstract :
In this paper, a novel ultra-wideband monopole antenna with dual band notched features is designed for WLAN application. A Y-shaped slot on the microstrip feed line as well as a split ring slot on the radiation patch is inserted for realizing the dual notches. The designed antenna effectively rejects frequencies within a range of 5.2–6.3 GHz and is ideal for WLAN applications.
