Abstract :
The use of signal processing antenna system refers to any antenna array with smart signal processing algorithms to adjust or adapt its own beam pattern in order to emphasize the level of signal of interest but minimizes the interfering signal level. In adaptive array signal processing antenna, various algorithms are used for DOA (Direction of arrival) estimation. This paper proposes a model based approach for DOA estimation of multiple target, which models the observed data as the output of linear shift invariant system. The parameters of the linear shift invariant system are used to evaluate the DOA of the impinging signals. The paper considers the parameter of the linear shift invariant system as the weight associating the adaptive filter. The weights of the adaptive filter are estimated using decorrelated modified variable step size algorithm. A wide variety of simulations have been carried out to demonstrate the superiority of the proposed algorithm under different SNR condition and varying elements in the array.
