Abstract :
Doubly salient electro-magnetic generator (DSEG) has the characteristics of high nonlinear, complex mathematical model, and changing parameters with the generator operating etc, the conventional control methods are not suitable for it. Thus, a voltage regulation system based on fuzzy PID control for DSEG was proposed in this paper. Firstly, the structure and the mathematical model of DSEG was built; then, the fuzzy PID controller was established in detail to keep output direct voltage stable by adjusting the exciting current, and its parameters and control strategy was determined; finally, a field-circuit co-simulation model of voltage regulation system for DSEG using fuzzy PID control was constructed by finite element analysis technique and transient solver of control circuit. The simulation results show that our new created control method of DSEG has the benefits of good steady and dynamic response performance.
