Abstract :
The development of decomposition methods improves the quality of image fusion. Using Dual Tree-complex wavelet transform instead of Discrete Wavelet Transform may improve the performance of multi-sensor image fusion. In the process of fusion, window-based fusion rule which takes Local Variance into account was proposed to fuse low frequency sub-bands. The experimental result shows that DT-CWT as a decomposition method is superior to DWT. Moreover, the proposed method shows better performance than pixel-based fusion rule.
