Abstract
The electric vehicle (EV) industry has been in a fast development stage with great promotion from the government, which has also brought the construction of charging stations. The large-scale EVs charging behaviours can bring a huge effect on the power grid due to their popularity, types, charging time, charging patterns and different characteristics. Here, the state-of-art of the connection of EVs to the grid and the influence of EV charging to the grid are analyzed in details. Besides, the methods to solve the problem of harmonic wave pollution to the grid are summarized due to the contamination of charging stations to the grid. Moreover, EVs will play more and more important role in the grid operation because of its storage feature, where the charging and discharging control strategies and the construction of the charging facilities are the priorities to be solved in this field.
